The Best Brownies

Somewhere between fudgy and cakey. With add-ins or not. This brownie recipe is a base we can build on. We like them with a peanut butter layer or as is, with a scoop of ice cream (my last-meal FAVORITE dessert!).

I’m not going to go crazy about cocoa powder; use what you have, but a Dutch-processed usually lends a more chocolatey flavor. The recipe is written for a basic brownie, but add mix-ins or chocolate ganache on top as you wish.
