I am a personal chef for a family once a week, and I made them this super simple dish of creamy shells and blasted broccoli that was a hit. The high school boys love hearty, filling food, and it’s a way for me to add in over a pound of broccoli because the shells are creamy and delicious.

We are not starting with a roux, as one would for a traditional cheese sauce, so this sauce coats the pasta on the lighter side.
