This recipe is from Heidi Swanson’s new book Super Natural Simple. Heidi is so fluent in vegetarian home cooking. If you are familiar with her work, this book is simpler than the others, while still as intriguing and colorful as ever. You’ll see in the recipe below how short the ingredient list is, and I know you all love that. For nut free folks, she suggests you can replace the cashews with one can of full fat coconut milk.
Harissa really ranges in heat level. The Mina brand has a mild heat level option that I can still pass by my kids in small amounts. The recipe is easily halved as well, but my kids enjoyed this with naan bread for dipping!
