This does call for pomegranate molasses which is not the easiest ingredient to find. They do have it at Whole Foods, Sprouts, online or at a middle eastern market should you have one near you. Honey or date syrup is also great. It’s a side salad, let’s not stress about it.
I didn’t add cheese, as I assumed for this menu, the side salad would pair well with the ragu which needs something light. If it needs to stand alone, I would add some crispy breadcrumbs or goat, feta or parmesan cheese to fill it out.
The vinaigrette can be made up to a week in advance.
