Dairy-Free Chocolate Cake

We took a lot of notes from Minimalist Baker, as I’ve tried her recipe and the packaged mix and it has a great texture. I made a single layer of the cake, as it was just for us and my parents and I didn’t want a bunch leftover, and a generous amount of frosting.

I buy the vegan butter from Trader Joes. They used to sell Miyokos which is my favorite, but using whatever is easy is just fine!
