This is a choose your own adventure endeavor. As written, we used Oreos, an espresso laced fudge, cookies and cream ice cream and vanilla whipped cream to layer this summer dessert. The same idea would work with different flavor profiles, such as mint chocolate chip ice cream as the base or even a banana pudding version with Nilla wafers.

Take the instructions below as a guide rather than directions. It is a bit of a messy process but the end result with taste the same regardless. If you’re in a rush, just buy store-bought whipped cream.

This is great made in a springform pan if you are feeding a group. For a smaller cake, halve the amount of whipping cream and layer your goodies in a loaf pan with strips of plastic wrap for a seamless dismount.
