Keep this in your back pocket for the holidays! I love a berry pie in the summer when the blueberries actually have some flavor. I’ve found the smaller berries yield a less watery filling and they are always frozen at the peak of freshness. If using frozen, be sure to let them thaw for at least 45 minutes first and discard any liquid they release.
If you use fresh berries - you will have much less liquid. Regardless, make sure you allow the pie to cool entirely before cutting or it will fall apart. This is crucial!
