If you have a dad in your life that loves a good burger, this is a tropical spin on a classic. Savory, sweet, spicy, meaty - all the things! I know pineapple on anything is controversial, but think of this like a pineapple salsa on a taco. It serves as a counterbalance to the spice and salt; making it all work together. Once I chop a pineapple and put it in a bowl, I can find some reserved juices pooling at the bottom of the bowl to use for the glaze.

There are a few steps here and shortcuts as needed. You can skip the caramelized onions and replace them with fresh. You can also use a store-bought teriyaki sauce. You can grill up slabs of pineapple and add pickled jalapeños in place of the spice in the pineapple relish. It is very adaptable based on your time and patience. The version below is the deluxe, but scale it as you please.
