If you can get your hands on center cut pieces, versus the flappy tail pieces, you’ll end up with a meatier piece of fish. Sometimes sold as “bbq cut”. If you are a Whole Foods shopper, they sell frozen individual center cut fillets in a large, 2-pound pack. The wild caught option actually has good, fresh and flavorful salmon year-round.

I’m aware this doesn’t look like a young kids dream dinner. We pull aside some salmon and quinoa for them. Always fans of pistachios and apricots on the side. The baby steps I am getting with salads appear to be a la carte, less of an entrée situation.
