I learned this recipe from Heidi Swanson of 101 Cookbooks. I never exactly know what to combine with gin, as it has so much character in and of itself (especially Hendricks, my favorite). While my go-to cocktail is tequila + Spindrift + fresh citrus of any kind, we’re making this more special in whipping up a simple syrup. Sure, an extra step, but so so easy and I’ll bet you already have sugar, water and can find rosemary somewhere in your neighborhood. This will make a generous amount of syrup, but it lasts for weeks and is good to have around for holiday times.
The amounts here are for one cocktail at a time, by way of ounce measurements, but honestly I just do splashes of everything. I wanted the details here for those that prefer them!
