
Hanger Steak with Peppercorn Sauce

This is a special occasion cut for us, as it is on the pricier side, but I was at a nice butcher and Sunday night was reason enough to celebrate. It is usually a round-ish cut, pretty even thickness, so it’s easier to get right than a bigger piece of meat. It is so tender, and as most things go with food, worth finding a good quality butcher if you’re going for it. This size should feed four eaters, but you can scale up or down depending on what kind of appetites you're feeding.
The sauce is nestled within this recipe, but it would be great on chicken or salmon as well!
I isolated the recipe, but this would be great with the oven fries and a green salad!
